Hello Brothers and Sisters,
On June 1st I took over as Business Manager/Financial Secretary of IBEW Local 69, taking the place of Bobby Reed, who retired after serving over 20 years as business manager. Thanks Bobby for all your hard work and dedication to this local union. You will be missed and we are forever grateful. I would like to thank our executive board for having the trust in me to fill the position and I look forward to serving the members of our local union.
This past month was tough. On June 8th, we lost bother Ethan Hamm, Journeyman Lineman from Wichita Falls. He was involved in tragic ATV accident that took his life at the age of 25. I ask that you keep his family and friends in your prayers.
We also lost Joann Gillespie, wife of Hal Gillespie. Hal has been the attorney for our local union for over 40 years. I ask that you keep Hal and his family in your prayers.
This month I will be traveling around the state to hold our quarterly unit meetings, and I look forward to seeing everyone.
The schedule will be:
